I believe I know how you feel since I used to be an art thief myself. -_-
I simply copied pretty pics I found in magazines, here, vcl and other places and called it "my own" for quite a long time. At least 2-3 years I think.

Why? Because I wanted to be popular of course! That's what we all long for, ei? >>
Then I realised 'twas the wrong way to do it. Damn, I was horribly ashamed of what I had done. -_-

Now I draw my own stuff. ALL by myself. :3 Feels good.
I hope you'll start doing that too. 'tis never too late you know.
